What tomorrow brings…

Tomorrowland is one of those movies that most people are going to randomly watch years down the line and voice praise for its sermon on global warming issues, albeit its disguise as a children’s movie.

Personally, I found the main girl distractingly annoying, but I’m glad that Hollywood is comfortable with female protagonists insuring a stable future. Complex women protags are often forgotten in tentpole cinema, but director Brad Bird made a conscious effort to instill confidence in Casey, the affable, yet headstrong leader of the film.

Overall? Great flick. Surprisingly action packed, enough popcorn for kids and adults, and a nice twist and inspiring message at the end. Take your kids. Take your daughters. Enjoy tomorrow.
